Transformers decepticons game guide
Lead them in your tank form to the location, then transform and grab one. You should be able to make it without getting knocked down. You may have to get their attention first by shooting one. You have 3 and a half minutes to get this done!
Drive to the target marker, and the mission will truly begin. This base will spawn enemies like aircraft and tanks to take you down, so watch yourself.
Shoot the aircraft and tanks down, and then melee the buildings. Your progress is indicated on the bottom screen in white. If you need health, just keep shooting the human vehicles. Keep your cool, and blast them. The white buildings spawn the tanks and aircraft, while the towers spawn the lighter vehicles. Two Autobots appear. These two are easy targets, so just keep shooting them and they should go down.
If you are of high enough level, wipe out all turrets before you pick up Barricade. These are the only enemies in the mission and they don't respawn even after you grab Barricade. You can ignore the turrets on the water, as I find that they can't reach you after you've passed them. Make sure you take out the turret on the building with the tower - it's your target. Or you can wing it through the level, and randomly change altitude to avoid incoming missiles.
You can see missiles on radar as a moving white dot. Now, blast the radio tower into oblivion. As Barricade, find the control room. It's marked in yellow on your radar. Be careful not to get locked in the nooks and crannies, the tanks and crap will conspire to try to take you out, while you get out.
The big circular hole at the beginning is instant death, so chuck your first few enemies into the hole to get rid of them. As usual, health pickups are found after blasting enemies or just breaking breakables. You have three and a half minutes to take care of the humans attempting to kill Lord Megatron.
When you reach the 1 minute mark, the tanks will disappear, and you will have to deal with nosy little Autobots. Melee them and make sure Megatron survives. Make sure you choose a form with lots of armor and attack power. I like the Attack Chopper. In fact, you can get the Attack Chopper in this level. Just before the dam, head to the left, and you'd find a little alcove with the American flag and some jets and the Attack Choppers.
If even one leaves, you fail the mission. You can use all your tricks here, like grabbing tanks and shooting them from behind. Ram them if neccessary. A random tank will drop Megatron's chip, pick it up and fly it to the target marker. Watch out for the water! This level is misleading - your objective is to destroy all five turrets preventing you from leaving the area.
As soon as you destroy one, two Autobots appear to help try to stop you. You'd get shot the moment you do. You can ignore the Autobots if you wish, and only shoot them when they really get in your way. You can fail the mission by timing out with about five minutes.
The Autobots appear in teams of two to try to take out Lord Megatron. After the cutscene, you chase down Jazz and the fight between Jazz ensues. This Autobot is a fast son of a Cybertronian, so look out for his missiles and light blasters.
For some reason, he only shoots at you, instead of taking you out with hand-to-hand. If you need health, transform and head to the top of the stone bridge. You have breakable rocks and cacti to refill your health. And Jazz usually doesn't see you. Head back over to the dam area, and avoid missiles. He should accidentally jump into the water and kill himself. At least Megatron doesn't have to waste energon crystals on Jazz!
Actually, when I did this, Jazz landed on the side of the Dam with the entrances to the base. I flew away, hoping to get some health pickups - and flew back to find Jazz suspended in midair above the water. He wasn't moving just making his sounds, I just went into jet mode, and shot him to death with my heavy blaster. The match of the century!
This boss battle is pretty brutal, unless you know all of his vocal cues. Ironhide is the only Autobot with a clearly defined pattern. My strategy for taking on Ironhide? Run away from him in tank form, until you hear his ground pound and his "Ugh! Melee him with a few punches, but watch out as he recovers pretty quickly. For health, run over trees and lampposts and you'd get it. Don't bother shooting Ironhide, as his armor's pretty thick.
You start off as Starscream in jet form. You need to chase down an extremely nimble Bumblebee, as he leads you on a merry chase. Fly low to the ground, and slow down when he approaches any intersection. Use turbos on straightways, and look your your radar.
When the chase reaches the docks with the maze of cargo containers, fly a bit higher to watch Bumblebee's movements. You have ten seconds to try to catch up, if you lose him.
By the end of the docks, you should have reached a airplane hanger and a gap in the fence. Take off after him, and continue flying low, as he's on the highway now. During the straight stretch, you will have to strain your turbos to keeps him in your sight. Now the 'Bee stops. Just melee him to death and prepare for the real fight. After the cutscene, Blackout and Barricade show up to confront Starscream. You end Blackout's life immediately, but Barricade tries to take you in for treason against Big M.
Barricade only has one attack that you have to watch out for. He says "I'm taking you in for treason! It knocks you back and takes a ton of health off the meter. Transform and fly off when he does this. You can refill health from breakables in the city, just fly off the parking lot and get it.
Make sure you come back if the "Exited Combat Area" sign clicks on. He sends out a bunch of drones to try to finish you off. You have 1 minute to take out 25 drones. He takes off again, and you have to fly to the next marker. If not flying, you can take the highway, but jump off the bridge when you are about parallel to the target market.
You have 2 minutes to do this. Land, and he sends more drones after you. You have 1 minute to take out the same amount of drones. Use your rapid-fire light blaster. Starscream takes off again. Follow him across the water and across the highway. You have 1 minute to do this. The yellow marker is in the middle of a residental area.
Land, and you have to take out 5 Autobots in 2 and a half minutes. He takes off soon after, and you alert Megatron to that fact.
Optimus Prime arrives on the scene. As Megatron, your goal is to wreck him. Keep randomly jumping and firing heavy blasters at him. Don't bother with trying to melee Prime - he stands still and cannot be knocked down.
His heavy missiles take out a huge chunk of health - so try hard to avoid them. Prime's missiles come in a stream of three, so count carefully, and strafe left and right just as his streams end. Don't bother picking up health with Prime on your tail.
Starscream stands pretty much still, so you can hide behind the cube statue to avoid his missiles or scale a building to get away from him. He has two attacks - one standard heavy missiles and one blue-ish close combat ray. After each attack, he will try to reorient to continue blasting you.
If you have a huge form eg. SWAT Van, 'copter , you can try to jump over him. Melee Starscream in the back about four times to get him to drop the AllSpark. Wait until he walks close to the AllSpark, then pick it up and melee him with it. The AllSpark appears on the radar as a big red triangle and it shoots a giant yellow beam into the air. Starscream then takes to the air. Megatron arrives to crush his little traitorous chassis, and the battle begins.
You'd have to catch up with Starscream using Megatron's nitro boost in jet form. Starscream lands in three places on the rooftops. His first landing site is a small ledge with a few air conditioning units on top. His second is a long strip of roof with that red billboard on it.
His last is the worst - on top of a tall building with a human helicopter shooting at you. Just continue circle strafing Starscream using heavy blasters to finish him off. You can also collect health, once he's landed on any roof - destroy lampposts and cars to get it. Make sure you listen to the sound, and take off after Starscream transforms back into jet mode. If you can fly well enough, you can take off a good chunk of Starscream's health by pelting him in the back with heavy blasters.
You can lose the mission if you lose sight of Starscream, so listen! They range from breaking stuff, to driving, to killing Autobots and to throwing stuff.
You can unlock more by getting gold medals in existing challenge missions. I'd just put the name of the challenge mission, then the amount needed to get a shiny gold medal in it. I may be missing a few, so I'd need your help.

I find that the Chopper and bigger forms have better firepower and better armor, while the faster cars have weaker armor. Barricade: A black tinted Decepticon with horns on his head. He turns into a police car. He's a pretty fast SOB, but is pretty weak. Use his heavy blaster to turn Autobots into swiss cheese. Blackout: A metallic grey chopper who turns into a tall Decepticon with his rotors strapped to his back.
Slightly stronger than Barricade, and can some what take more hits than Barricade before popping out of vehicle form. Brawl: A literal tank, he turns enemies into spare parts at the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, he's slower than a frozen milkshake. Use his light blaster - his heavy blaster tends to miss targets. He's also good at melee, so use that Megatron: Oooo The big Kahuna morphs into a Cybertronian jet instead of his original Cybertronian pistol. He's fast, and he has full firepower capabilities.
His heavy blaster tends to track downwards, although. In Jet mode, you can hover in the air by applying air brakes with the A button. Starscream: A Decepticon who turns into a regular human Jetfighter.
He has about the same stats as Megatron, except he lacks the firepower that his boss 'bot has. His light blaster doesn't extend too far away from his body. Oh yeah, and if you want, you can link your Game Id with an account on the Official Transformers Website.
Head to www. Now you can see yourself on the leaderboards! Every day, you can download and play a Challenge mission from the server. I've noticed the Decepticons seem to do better at Challenge missions that involve destruction or the endurance missions. Better hope Nintendo keeps uploading these missions for us! If you have a friend who has a copy of Decepticons and a DS, then you can play a standard Halo 3 inspired game of "frag first, ask questions later" or a "get the ball to the target" type game. You can access "multiplayer" from the main menu.

Red, blue, yellow and gray. In AllSpark Sports, there are only red and blue teams. It's an arrow beside your character name. I like to play deathmatch mode in Cybertron, lots of hiding spots.
Make it harder or easier for people who don't like using cars or robots. Instead of a cratered patch or a damaged floor, there is a bunch of dots that resemble a color test pattern on your television at night. Fortunatey, it's annoying but not terminal. This is a very bad thing that can't be remedied, save for starting over with a new file. It usually happens when you replay a Story Mission through the menu, instead of playing through normally.
Make sure that you always quit a mission. Head into freeplay mode after you've beaten the game , and select the location that you were in. You should see a green icon a story mission? Play it, and beat it, and you'd continue with the story. Continue through the rest of the missions to restore your missing percentage points. I'm a 24 year old walking cliche. I plan to write more faqs for some games I find are impossible or just really really hard.
You can contact me with changes and corrections or questions either on the Decepticons GameFaqs board or at astrangeone at null. Make sure you put "Decepticons Transformers FAQ" in any email you send, or else it will be deleted immediately.
Also, you can ask any nice person on the Decepticon boards I will credit you with any name you wish on this FAQ for corrections, submissions and other stuff. Don't send me viruses, letters asking me out I'm a tried and true dyke.

Or you are stuck and need someone to lend a hand. In any event, this guide is specifically designed to offer suggestions, hints, information, and tips on how to best the irritating Autobots and to find the Allspark.
As will be noted later in this FAQ, this FAQ will not cover the assorted forms you can obtain in-game though if I find a specific form extremely useful, I will point it out, or if a rare form is there, where it is. Whenever possible, I will provide the dialog that the game presents including a specific error that occurs in one mission , and will give as much useful info as possible. WAAY at the botton section 10 , I have placed contact information.
Depending on how much free time I get and on the assumption that I can get past a particularly annoying mission , I might consider doing an Autobots FAQ as well. First thing is first, though. Version History v0. Updated a few minor bits in the general section, as well as hints and story bits for the first few missions.
Will try to add more later this week, before Dragon Quest Monster Joker comes out and eats what time I have seeing as how consumers will eat up what time I have period by shopping. Blasted retail Also decided to at least finish the first two or three missions before the week ends hopefully. Also added Goal Missions Section was not included prior v0.
Basics In this section, we will look at two key factors in playing Transformers: Decepticons, the controls and the ability to transform. Controls I. Transforming Ah, transforming. The unique feature of the Transformers franchise. In this particular game, you use the ability of transforming to elude foes, reach new places, participate in side quests, and just have fun. Excluding Story characters Brawl, Starscream, etc , your custom character is able to transform into a wide variety of vehicles that can be found throughout the game.
Some forms are far more useful than others, and some must be found while you have a high wanted level cause as much destruction as possible. Unless a form is essential to a particualr mission, I will not say what form for you to take. Because most forms only become available the further in the game you progress usually after the story jumps from one area to another , it's normally up to you as to what you prefer.
To get a form or to see if you have already obtained a form , simply tap the Scan icon on the touch screen while near a vehicle. Once the scan is complete, you will either unlock a form or recieve a message that you have already acquired that form.
Before we go any further, I should point out that the missions that allow you to use your custom character, I will probably have seperate guides for normal forms ie - cars , and a seperate one for G1 Starscream since the game does NOT prohibit you from using it, and it typically takes a differient path than most other forms.
Granted, a helicopter form could easily follow the same path, but due to the fact that the G1 Starscream's Jet mode controls not unlike a car in the air, it deserves its own guide. And now, to the show. Note that you can move the story along by going to the green markers until you have beaten the Story Mode, at which point these no longer appear , and you can go to Goal Missions by going to the gold markers.
Casino Strip The starting area, there really is nothing special here. Easily one of the smallest areas, the big points of THIS area are the open area near where a pool resides one of the buildings near this has the rare News Copter form for scanning , a giant "Cube" statue which you will see quite often during the final mission, trust me Note that you can get the Police Copter form here, but only if you have a Level 2 Wanted Level and the means to trick it so that you can scan it without getting knocked out of scanning mode Tranquility THIS monster of a level is almost impossible to describe, due in part to the limitations of the DS hardware.
Because of the lack of details that the DS can produce, many areas look exactly the same until you are on top of them.
The draw distance or fog also hurts in several areas, and if you are flying, you will have to be VERY low to see some key locations. Such key areas include the docks near which you can find the rare Raider form , the suburbs, the museum which you will begin to hate during a certain mission , the football and baseball fields the latter has the rare SWAT Van nearby There are some other key areas, but few of them are as important here as they are in the Autobots version.
A third of the map is a desert town, the other two-thirds is devoted to a sizable army base. Other than the town and the air field, there are few key areas of note here. The only scannable form that is "unique" to this area is the Chopper form, which the story forces on you. Be advised. Upon first arrival, you might be bored with the massive roads that go on and on, but as you get to the dam, you will find the area is very, very large.
Once you've rescued a certain Decepticon, you are able to explore the extensive military base below at your lesure. Key points include the dam itself, the underground lab which doesn't play a large part in this version, the Holding Area where Megatron is kept frozen , and the LOONG road at the far west half of the map.
General Tips Not really much to into into this; basically, this section is just advice and general hints. Forms As I stated before, I will not go out of my way to recommend forms, due mostly because it's up to preference.
Some forms are downright useless the first one, for starters , while some are terrific the Hot Rod Experiment to find what makes you happy, and be sure to play with the color pallates Combat Most non-transformer foes can be felled rather easily with just the Heavy Weapons function, and most foes Lvl 2 Wanted and lower can be bested with the Laser option.
Physical combat with vehicles is not recommended, unless your weapon bar is drained. Against standard Transformers, just blast them with Heavy Weaponry. Hand to had works well, but against a group, just blast. Drones foes you fight later on are best handled with any kind of weapons - just don't be too close.
Most bosses and key battles can be won by simply holding right or left and tapping the Y button to fire. Straffing and shooting wins virtually all battles in this game, with rare excpetions. G1 Starscream OK, if you are fortunate enough to have been able to download this or used an Action Replay code , you have what is easily the cheapest form in the game.
Because G1 is not limited to the ground, because it can use Trubo in the air choppers cannot Turbo , because its weapons are hideously overpowered, and because it's cool, G1 Starscream is easily the most useful character in the game. Why drive through obstacles when you can simply fly? Why fight when you can blast with deadly lasers? If you have this form, this easily cuts the difficulty of the game in half. Story Mode Like I said, I will try to have the dialog added to these missions for reference sake.
For now, though, let us look at how we beat these missions. For simplicity, the generic character will be referred to as "Player.
The Rookie Story: Upon arriving in the Casino area in Proto-Form aka, the form like that of the Autobots in the movie when they arrived on Earth , Player contacts Starscream, wondering why he was on a nothing world. Starscream tells Player to seek out Barricade, and to assist in seeking the All Spark. When Player contacts Barricade, the other is not crazy to have a partner. After a bit of verbal sparring, Player is to run a systems check to see if he is operating correctly. Mission Goals: Just learn the controls, and don't die - that would be bad.
Hints and Tricks: Nothing really key at this point in the game; just learn the controls, especially how to scan. Also, try to get a hang on the weapons targeting system, as it will become essential later on. And don't feel bad if you have issues with the driving parts; you will get MUCH better vehicles later on. Story: Barricade's insults aside, once you best all the Autobots and get your first form , you simply proceed to the next mission.
Hazing Story: As part of your initiation wait, isn't Player already a Decepticon? What do you do when they appear? Mission Goals: Destory objects to flush out Autobots. Kill said Autobots. And don't die. Hints and Tricks: When you first go into this mission, you might not have a variety of forms to choose from. Take the time in the over- world to learn the controls if you are still having issues, and make sure to level up a bit to get a few abilities now would be a good time to participate in the WFC All Spark Wars to get new vehicles and EXP.
After you best the grunts, Player will have a brief dialog with a character called "Unknown. Make sure you have leveled up enough to get heavy weapons for an easier time. G1 Starscream: This is the first Mission where you can whip out this monster, and though he doesn't really change the overal strategy, his weaponry is vastly superior to most of your options at this point. Story: Once you best Unknown, Barricade will send you to a town named Tranquility. New area. New forms. New foes. Beware of the Locals Story: Upon arriving, Barricade as cheerful as ever sends you to blast a few cars.
Upon doing so, the police show up to blast you. How nice of Barricade to spring this nice gesture on you. Hints: This is basically a way of teaching you about the Wanted level system, only in this mission, you cannot back out to change forms to drop said level or regain health.
G1 Starscream: Like the prior mission, G1 only helps in that he has better weapons than anything else you have at this point. Story: After Player grumbles about the "lesson" Barricade has given, Barricade reveals why they are on this rock: they have detected a Decepticon signal - from Megatron.
When Player makes a wisecrack, he is promptly smacked by Barricade, who says that without Megatron, Player would be a blind slave to Optimus Prime and the Autobot weaklings. Robots in Disguise Story: Clearly having gotten over Player's comment about Megatron, Barricade sends him after an Autobot they have detected within the city. Hints: Here's where it gets more complex, though not by much.
You can either scan or blast the cars you are given hint - SCAN! G1 Starscream: The biggest advantage he gives you is the ability to fly strait to the scan zones.
Story: Player scans the remains of the Autobot, learning that Bumblebee has found references to a giant "Metal Man" frozen in the Artic. When Barricade races to find the Autobot, Player contacts Starscream. Careful to not mention Megatron by name, Player is told to not waste energy by "chasing ghosts.
The Diversion Story: Barricade grumbles about how the authority figures ie - police is making the task of finding Bumblebee harder than it should be. Player offers to take the heat, and goes to blast some humans. Hints: Basically, blast a bunch of cars, get to a Level 3 Wanted status, and destory enough cars and objects to raise the damage to the target goal.
Note that many objects do release health drops. G1 Starscream: No real advantage here except in weaponry. Then again, by this point, you should have some added muscle to choose from you have been scanning, right? Story: Barricade wants to know why Player offered to help, and does not buy into the story that Player was being helpful and wanted respect.
Player denies that his help was prompted by Starscream, yet Barricade chooses to ignore his denial. Barricade then goes off to "sting that Bumblebee. Stings Like a Bee Story: Arriving in a small subdivision, Barricade finds Bumblebee at a house, and proceeds to chase him down the city streets.
All the while, Barricade notes that Bumblebee is trying to lure him away from the humans.
